Every muscle is used in the dance performance and this dance need continuous practice to master and today there are many other forms of ballet namely neoclassical ballet, modern dance, and expressionist ballet.
The formal style of ballet is the classical form, which follows traditional methods of ballet, and of course there are minor differences in classical form of different countries with respect to the country of origin. The most famous ballet methods are the Italian method, the Russian method, New York City method, the Danish method, Royal Ballet School methods, and the Royal Academy of Dance.
Neoclassical ballet method also uses traditional method, but less rigid when compared with classical ballet and spacing is complex than other styles. Other ballet style, contemporary ballet follows both methods and styles of modern dance and classical ballet.
To practice ballet, a person requires resilience, strength, grace and elegance and ballet can be learnt at any age. Shoes hold the most important part of ballet dancing and most experienced person prefer pointe shoes to look lighter and delicate. During rehearsals and classes, dancers wear leotards and tights, and for recitals and performances ballet skirts or tutus is worn. Pointe shoes are most preferred because it helps ballerinas to raise and go up on the tip of their toes.
Most important positions in ballet dancing are as follows: the first one is moving the feet outwards making the heels of the feet to meet and make a straight line. The soles of the feet are turned completely with one foot separation in between the feet, and the feet spread apart. Then, one foot is kept in front of the other in such a way that the front foot meets the center of the other foot. Now, the feet are placed one step apart from each other without changing the position. In the final step, both feet meet together in such a way that the toes of the foot meet the heels of the other foot.
