Another part of participating in the marathon running event is to be prepared on race day. Depending on the weather, the runner will want to have some throw away clothes that he can wear to keep warm at the starting line but can discard during the race as the weather and his body heat up. He will also want to get to the race early so that he will not be as stressed out by the crowds of runners that are there trying to get checked in and settled before the race.
During the marathon running event, the runner should concentrate on staying positive and having fun. He can smile or wave at the spectators that are cheering on the sides of the path and also spend time thinking about the positive things in his life. There will most often be several walls that will be hit in the race and he will also have to talk himself through those so that he can continue running.
